"This disc consists of a recording of the artists's own arrangement of the first three of Bach's six cello suites intabulated for baroque lute.

The natural delicacy and expressiveness of the lute does much to complement the formal patterning of Bach's music, especially as Thodey's technique is such a delicate one.

Robin Thodey plays with feeling and a pleasing softness. In principle she follows the finest of precedents."
